Karen Welser Iverson

Her parents, step-parents and adopted Kraus family adored her growing up. She was a dancer and owned her own studio, building her students’ confidence and changing their lives along the way. Miss Karen earned the love of generations of dancers through Karen Iverson Dance Studio (KIDS). She volunteered at Hogle Zoo taking animals into schools and educating kids. She retired from Polyseal after 25 years of befriending all and acting as unofficial social director.
Her greatest joy was family and she was a doting momma and grandma to: children Annette (Brad) Klenk, Natalie, Michael and Greg (Amy) Iverson; grandkids Natalie (Creighton) Lowe, Myles (Gentry) Klenk, Hayden, Scarlett, Tristan, Sage, Claire and Truman; and great-grandkids Kash, Bodi and Brooks. She rarely missed a recital, game or program. Karen always enhanced the lives of others. She led exercise classes for neighbors, planned Relief Society activities and delighted everyone with her decorations for each holiday.
She loved her Heavenly Father and served him with meekness. She’s preceded in death by her parents and daughter Natalie.
The family gives sincere thanks to everyone at Utah Cancer Specialists for being so sweet and taking such good care of our sweet little mom. Our gratitude also goes out to family and dear friends who gave of their love and time. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Hogle Zoo.

Those who wish can pay their respects on October 12 from 6-7 pm and October 13 from 10-10:45 am at 3640 East Millstream Lane, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 E. Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights.
