On Sunday, March 1, 2020, Karen Olsen, mother of five, grandmother of twelve, and great-grandmother of six, passed away at age 78.
Karen was born on March 19, 1941, in Idaho Falls, ID to James Daniel and Elsie E. (Carson) Egbert. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1959 and settled in Utah in 1968 to raise three daughters; Jamie, Bella (Richelle), and Shannon; and two sons; Danny and Cameron.
Karen loved music, writing, movies, and the arts. She also enjoyed picnics at The Great Salt Lake with her family. Karen loved Elvis and collecting bells.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, James Daniel, and her mother, Elsie. She is survived by her five children, Jamie Anderson (Derek), Danny Olsen, Cameron Olsen, Bella Olsen, Shannon Boyd (Robert), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as siblings, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123.Service Information
