Junne Saunders

Junne Charon Saunders passed away peacefully with her loving husband of 17 years, Mel Saunders, by her side at Intermountain Health Care Hospital in Salt Lake City. Junne grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated from South High School. As small as she was in stature, she was very large in spirit. She spent part of her life driving Big Trucks. She loved outdoors, camping, visiting ghost towns and riding ATV’s. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard and planting flowers and had one of the most beautiful yards on the block. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Until we meet again, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Mel; daughter, Michelle (Bruce) Darby; daughter-in-law, Shirlene Charon; grandchildren, Anne (Tony), Jaylee, Dallas (Heather), Ben (Coutrney); great-grandchildren, Brent (Danielle), Alissa, Major (Kelsey), Manton (McKenzie), Caleb, Isa, Makenna, Jay and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Rocky Jay Charon and her parents.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 17th from 1 – 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. with funeral services immediately following.
