June Bartschi Bernards
June 8, 1924 — March 21, 2016
Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the late afternoon hours of Monday, March 21, 2016.
June was preceded in death by her husband, William John “Bill” Bernards and all her siblings, LaVonna, Delva, Frank, Duard, Irene and Faye. She is survived by her children, Charles (Esther) Bernards, Jan Sisneros, Barry (Celeste) Bernards, and Jillyn Jones; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
June was happiest when surrounded by her family, hosting many parties and family dinners. She was loved by everyone who met her and will be sorely missed, but we are happy that she is reunited with dad, dancing the Jitterbug in heaven.
The family wishes to express thanks to June’s many caregivers at Draper Rehab for taking such good care of her.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 So.
