Julie Jones Critchfield

Our sweet daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister Julie Jones Critchfield unexpectedly left our lives but not our hearts on April 28, 2016 from a pulmonary embolism.
Julie was born on February 27, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David and Ardis (Butterfield) Jones. She was the oldest of five kids and grew up in Sandy with a loving family. She spent her early childhood enjoying time with her family skiing Alta and summers boating at Lake Powell.
She attended Brighton High School and later graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Finance in 1983. She married and had two sons whom she loved dearly. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her grandson. She was an avid movie watcher and liked reading. She was a member of the LDS church. Julie faced multiple health issues throughout her life, but fought a courageous battle against rheumatoid arthritis, Wegener’s disease, and diabetes.
Julie is survived by her son Clay (Nichole) Critchfield, parents David and Ardis Jones, siblings Makell (John) Penrose, Jami Jones, Phil Jones, and Kathy (Nate) Williams, and her grandson Devin. She was preceded in death and is now reunited with her sweet, loving son Devin Critchfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3 at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.) A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the services.
