Julie Vernice Evans

July 19, 1963 — October 21, 2024

Julie Vernice Evans, age 61, died on October 21st, 2024 in her home in West Jordan, Utah. She was born on July 19th, 1963, in Burley, Idaho, to Augustine and Vernice DeNaughel. She married Donald Dwight Evans on December 20th, 1991. 

Julie was a loving mother and Nana. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Her temple recommend was very close to her heart. Julie loved her animals. What brought her the most joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was very selfless and always looking for ways to serve others. She will be missed beyond measure. 

She is survived by her husband Don, sons Stephen (Chelsey) Schulte and Nicholas Evans, daughters Lilly Evans and Pamela Hensley, grandchildren Maiya, Matix, and Maisie Schulte, brothers Les (Sandy), Eddie (Merla), and Kenny (BillyRay), sisters Nancy, Blanch, Mary (Dave) Ellis. 

She is preceded in death by her son Derek Donald Evans, parents Augustine and Vernice DeNaughel, and brother Ronald DeNaughel. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. A Viewing will be held prior to services from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
