Julia Kaye Thorderson Wayman

Julia Kaye Thorderson Wayman, 73, peacefully returned home on June 25, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She faced this disease with incredible grace and was a source of strength to her family throughout her life. She was born December 22, 1942 in Cleveland, Utah to Lawrence and Lynette Thorderson.
Julia married her sweetheart Ralph William Wayman on October 6, 1961. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She made a difference in many children’s lives working in the Murray School District. She loved books and she shared this love with her family and within the community. Her grandchildren loved to curl up on her lap and have her read them stories and she was never too busy to do so. She loved her family, and was the BEST grandma to her 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding her little red Suzuki motorcycle at Joe’s Valley. She had a deep love of music and was an accomplished pianist and vocalist.
Survived by daughters, Tamy (Jeff) Heath, Tresa (Scott) Wesche, Tina (Cory) Burgon and step-daughter, Debbie (Dale) Terry, siblings Laurelle Hughes, Chad (Carolyn) Thorderson, Freda (Merrill) Fillmore, Larry (Sandy) Thorderson. Preceded in death by her sweetheart Ralph, parents, her sister Janet, and grandson Baby Wesche. Special thanks to CareSource Hospice for providing outstanding love and care to our mom.  
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Dr, Holladay, UT and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1 at 11:00 am at the Murray 22nd Ward, 619 W 5750 S, Murray, UT. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park.
