Judy Stevens

December 17, 1945 — May 9, 2020

On Saturday May 9, 2020 Judy loving mother, grandffio, sister, and friend passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with dementia. Judy’s greatest joy came from being a mom and a grandma. lt was her most treasured gift and it came natural to her. She dedicated her whole life to those she loved whether it be volunteering as a room mother in the classrooffi, a calling at church, or preparing meals for those in need. She was always giving her all. She loved being there for her family and being able to help in any way she could. Judy never missed one moment this life gave her. She loved going on trips to California beaches, picnics in the mountains, shopping with her girls, adventuring with her boys, baking, crafting, and always had a fun project with the grandkids. She enjoyed baking, luncheons, and spending time with her sister. She especially loved recreating traditions by making their grandma’s applesauce cookies. They had an unbreakable bond and appreciation for each other. Judy was glue that kept our family together and was a perfect example of true authentic unconditional love. She also loved spending time with her dearest friend Susan whom had become a sister to her. They loved watching movies and takeout on Friday nights among many other adventures they shared. Judy had a passion for planting flowers and gardening. She could make anything grow. She also loved birds of all kinds and always had a bird feeder and bird bath so they always had a home with her. (at the end of her life she used whistling as a way of communication just like her birdie friends.) Her positive, loving, caring soul will be missed beyond measure. She was “that person” in everyone’s life that was there no matter what. Going on without her will be davastating but we will honor her by carrying on her example of love, compassion, courage, and all of her fun traditions. Mom you have always been our angel and our greatest teacher, Thank you! You remain in our hearts forever. She is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Catherine Stevens, her daughters Carrie and Annie Jacobson. She is survived by her brother Alden Jay Stevens, sister Sharon (Butch) Young, her kids, Jenny (Aj) Chavez, Dillon (Adriana) Jacobson and Brantz Jacobson. Her grandchildren: Lexy, Cody, Cameron, Canyon, and Oakland. Her great grandchild, Averie. Our family would like to deeply express thank you for all of the love and support that we have been shown through this difficult time and a special thank you to Symbii Home Health Hospice. You are all truly angels in this world. Thank you for your kindness and your loving care that you gave to our mom in her last days… in lieu of flowers or donations we ask that you take a moment to hug your parents, child, grandchild, friend or walk in the woods for a moment, soak up this beautiful life. Time waits for no one. Due to the Covid-19 virus we are choosing to keep the services private, but will have a celebration of life at a later date.
