Judy LaRae Simon

Judy passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born on August 11, 1939, Judy shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Robert, before his passing. She was a loving mother to Darrell and Shanna and was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Darla. She adored her six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, always treasuring time spent with them.

Judy loved traveling to Brookings, Oregon, where she and Robert enjoyed beachfront stays with their beloved pug, Tilly. She had a passion for shopping, crime and mystery stories, and reading. She also cherished time with her sister and brothers, going on trips and making memories together. One of her greatest joys was hosting Sunday dinners, bringing her family together with good food and laughter.

Though she is no longer with us, her kindness, warmth, and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

A service to honor Judy’s life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her beautiful life. You may visit with the family at a viewing prior to services from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.  Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address.
