Judy Pickering Bailey

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister, and Friend Judy Pickering Bailey passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on February 21, 2025, in Cedar City, Utah surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on October 5, 1944, in Murray, Utah to Betty Berger and Jack Arthur Pickering. She married James LeRoy Bailey on September 19, 1964.

Judy's greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She loved spending time with them, especially playing card games. She also enjoyed music, dancing, nature, crafts, and cooking. Her kind nature and contagious smile allowed her to make friends wherever she went. She was quick with a laugh and a hug, a light in the darkness, and an example of strength and perseverance. She will be missed by all, until we meet again.

She is survived by her husband Jim, children; Suzanne Bailey, Roxanne (Clair) Hansen, and Randy (LeAnne) Bailey, sister, Diane Dowd, brothers; Boyd and Bruce Pickering; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandchild Nathanael Bailey.

Funeral service will be held on March 1, 2025, with a viewing being held at 12:30 PM and services to follow from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary. 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.

Interment will be held after the funeral service at Crescent Cemetery. 11105 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.
