Judith Watts

Judy Watts, 68, West Valley City, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Judy was born March 7, 1945 in Delta, Utah to Lenore Hansen and Leon McCall. She married Duane Watts, February 15, 1963. She worked many years at Delton Lanes and Utah Youth Corrections. She was the most generous, loving, intelligent, tolerant, wise, caring, and beautiful wife, mom, sister, aunt, and grandma that any of us could have wished for. She touched many lives and made us all better people. She loved her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, her church, special-needs kids, fishing, football, the Seattle Seahawks, otters, Wile E Coyote, the color turquoise, and reading. She crocheted over 400 Afghans that keep many of us warm today; we’ll always think of her when we pull one over us. Judy was also a very successful unofficial Scout Master, continually driving her three boys and many other young boys to become Eagle Scouts. Judy is survived by her husband, three sons, Wayne (Debbie), West Valley City; Gary (Dawn), St. George; Wade (Traci), West Jordan; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters, Anita (Art) Hill, Kathryn (Fred) Winterton, Pam (Dennis) Alexander, and brother, Ralph (Susan) McCall. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and a great-grandson. A viewing will be held Sunday, October 27, 5:30 – 8:00 PM, at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road. Funeral services will be Monday, October 28, 11:00 AM at the Jordan North 6th Ward, 3875 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 – 10:45 AM.
