Judy passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born on August 4, 1939, to Francis Benjamin Woolston and Margaret Hollingshaus in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1961, she met and married Bernard Jay Hahn. They were later sealed together in the Jordan River Temple. Together they had four children: Jeff (Nancy), Brian (Laurie), Sherri (Gary) Wilde, and Chad (Crystal). She has 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, two brothers: David and Richard, four sisters: Jeanne, Barbara, Peggy, Diana, and one-half sister Annette. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers-in-law, and a granddaughter.
In her early years of marriage, Judy competed in and won several pistol shooting competitions. She spent many years teaching children in daycare. She loved the mountains and camping with her family. She was an avid collector of figurines, small statues, gnomes, shoes, and purses. She loved shopping and would often buy clothing for herself and then give it away to others. She was known for “Telling it like it is” and being honest. She loved her family, neighbors, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chase Lane Chapel at 1125 North 400 West in Centerville, Utah. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
The family wishes to thank the loving care provided by Dr. David VandeMerwe and the staff of Palliative Care and IHC Hospice.
