Judy Crabtree

Our sweet wife and Mother, Judy Crabtree, passed away Tuesday June 4^th, 2024, at Riverway Assisted Living and Memory Care, in South Jordan, UT.  Judy was the second child born to Clyde “Curly” Hollingshead and Mildred Lewis Hollingshead on November 20, 1946 in Milford, UT. Judy lived in Minersville, UT, until the age of four. In 1950, their family moved to Salt Lake City, UT.

Judy graduated from South High, Class of 1965. She met John Albert “Jack” Crabtree in August 1966. They were married a year later, on August 11, 1967. They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage this August 11^th. Judy and Jack have two children. John Todd Crabtree, born December 29, 1970 and Jodi Marshawn Crabtree Barney, born April 1, 1973. Judy would count amongst her greatest loves and treasures, her five granddaughters. She loved them with all her heart! Judy loved baseball, NFL and U of U Football; as well as anything her kids or granddaughters were participating in.

Judy is survived by her husband John “Jack” Crabtree, son: Todd and spouse Jamie Crabtree; daughter: Jodi and spouse Michael Barney; granddaughters: Kendyl and her spouse Keegan Rowberry, Paige Barney, Maren Barney, Tessa Crabtree and Ali Crabtree.  Additionally, her only living immediate family, a sister Margie and spouse Robert Gressman. Some aunts, uncles and cousins.

Judy was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal Grandparents; her parents Clyde and Mildred Hollingshead; two step sisters, Myrl Owens Garrard Ekenstam (deceased) and Mary Owens (deceased); siblings Ginger Hollingshead Stewart (deceased). Marie Scott (deceased) a niece, raised as Judy’s youngest sister; Many aunts, uncles and cousins.

At Judy’s request there will, be no formal Funeral or viewing. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, June 14^th.  Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
