Juanita Reed Bachman

November 22, 1928 — June 23, 2015

Juanita G. Reed Bachman passed away peacefully on June 23, 2015 in Sandy, Utah.
Juanita was born November 22, 1928 in Peerless, Utah to Seferino and Maria (Rodriguez) Gonzales.  Juanita married John Henry Lovato on November 23, 1946 (preceded her in death); married Charles William Reed Jr. on July 3, 1963 (preceded her in death); married Dean Wesley Bachman Sr. on April 13, 1980 (preceded her in death). Juanita loved and raised two children Dean Wesley and Kristen Dawn (LeClair) Bachman from her last marriage.
Juanita and her husband, Dean, were avid square dancers.  They worked and danced with The Singles and the Checkmates Square Dance Clubs. They became officers with the Tri Valley Association for many years while they travelled the country to each National Square Dance Convention.
Juanita also had great pride in being a secretary for the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1 Utah from 1974 – 2004. She made many friends working on behalf of union workers in the State of Utah.
Juanita was a bright, positive influence on everyone she met and loved. We, her family, were greatly blessed to have her in our lives. She will be greatly missed. Thank you Coventry and Sunrise for the good care for our mother in the last years of her life.
Survived by her children; Waunita Watson and Stephen Bachman, Kristen (Francis) LeClair, and Dean (Candy) Bachman, Jr., brothers; Marcellino Gonzales, Jesse (Joyce) Gonzales, Tony (Jona) Gonzales, and Tom Gonzales, Sisters; Severina Miller, Carmel (John) Palacios, brother-in-law Pete Palacios, and
numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by parents – Seferino and Maria Gonzales, brother – Marion (Meano) Gonzales, sisters – Charlene Palacios and Gloria Lovato, sister-in-law – Betty Jean Gonzales, brother-in-law – Ronald Miller and Filbert Lovato, nephews, Marcellino Gonzales Jr., Christopher Gonzales, Tony (Totes) Palacios , John
Palacios, Jr., Henry Hallman, and niece – Jessica Gonzales.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 9757 South 1700 East. A Vigil service will be held Sunday 7:00 p.m. where friends may call from 6:00-7:00 p.m. also at the church. Committal Redwood Memorial Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 9757 South 1700 East Sandy, UT, 84092.
