Juanita Fay Kjelstrom Alexander Thim

June 17, 1928 — September 23, 2019

Fay passed away peacefully at her home at Beacon Crest Senior Living with her loving daughter Cindy at her side.
She was born (second of 10 children) June 17th 1928 to her parents Axel G. Kjelstrom and Juanita Lasater Kjelstrom in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Graduated from West High School and had a very long and successful career as a government employee working at Litton and later at Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft electrician.
Married Robert R. Alexander (deceased) in which they bore 4 children: Jerry, Cindy, Rick and Linda. Later married Clyde W. Thim until his death.
Fay is survived by her children Jerry Alexander (Meg), Cindy Alexander, Rick Alexander and Linda LaVerne (Brian), brothers: Lynn (Beth) and Duane (Becky) and sisters Carol and Gayle (Ray) 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Marvin, Clarence (Kelly) and Allan; and sisters: Verdell and Sherrill.
Her viewing will be held on Sunday the 29th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Memorial Redwood at 6500 So. Redwood Road in West Jordan.
Her funeral is planned (at Memorial Redwood) for Monday the 30th at 2:00pm with a short viewing one hour prior. Followed by a gathering at her ward house (Murray North Stake House) in Murray at 5200 So. Glendon St. (700 W.)
Fay loved life in general and everybody loved her. She was always happy and loved her large family dearly.
She was one of the original residents at Chestnut Place Condominiums and made many friends as more residents moved in. She was active and caring about her neighborhood of 30+ years and served on the HOA committee several times.
She loved to have visits from her friends and neighbors and was always willing to help with anything for anybody. She was very active in the LDS church and loved her ward members. She had a close relationship with her bishop and home teachers.
She later moved to Beacon Crest Senior Living in Draper in which she made new friends and especially got close to the staff and aides that were there constantly making her stay comfortable, pleasant and safe.
