Juanita Daniels

December 9, 1927 — September 7, 2015

Juanita Martin Daniels was born 9 December 1927 in Provo, Utah. Her parents were Joe
Martines and Marjorie Mae Barber. She was raised by her grandparents, John and Claudia Mae Barber, from the age of 3 years old. Juanita was called home to her Heavenly Father after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s and fibromyalgia, which she had for many years, on 7 September 2015. Juanita married Budd LeRoy Daniels on 10 April 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Gospel. She taught her children the Gospel at a young age. She loved people and had a warm smile for all she met. She was bubbly and vivacious always trying to serve those around her. She would hear of a neighbor that was ‘under the weather’ and would promptly cook and take them a meal. She would love to cook and loved canning food for her family. She loved to sew, making many of her children’s clothes. She was a lover of the outdoors which was why her garden and yard was beautiful. She loved to go camping with her family…her family was her life. She loved the time with her daughter on her ranch which was her favorite place in her later years and would often use thoughts of Dianne’s ranch to make her smile. She had an opportunity to be a ‘stay at home Mom’ and was the best! During this time she raised African Violets, perfecting them and then winning the grand prize for 13 years in a row at the Home and Garden shows. After her children were raised, she began working in Geertsen’s Ceramics for several years. Her ceramics work demonstrated her abilities to perfect all that she would do. During the last 2 years, she loved going to Church, church activities and the temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Budd. She is survived by her children: Kayleen (Charlie) English, Douglas (Kathy) Craig and Dianne Anita (Mike Smith); 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
