Juanita Archuleta

On January 25th, our beloved wife, mother, aunt & friend Juanita L. Archuleta, passed away surrounded by family.
She was born July 6, 1954 of Josie and Filadelfio Lobato in East Carbon, Utah, and passed on January 25, 2015 in Taylorsville, Utah.
Juanita graduated from East Carbon High School, Class of ’72. She was an avid seamstress for work and also later on in her life as she spent time creating blankets, cloths, clothes and doing other craft projects. After moving from East Carbon down to Salt Lake City she met the love of her life Thomas Archuleta and they Married, May 5, 1984. Later she earned an associates degree in Computer Analytics which led her to be a Customer Representative at Zions Bank for 15 years. In her free time, Juanita and Tom enjoyed being their son; Josh’s number one fan throughout his youth and later on as he coached for his Salt Lake Lady Rebels and Juan Diego Basketball teams. She was a woman of strong faith and never turned down an opportunity to help out those in need. Beloved by all her friends and family, an angel was taken to soon but we know that we will always have her guidance from above. She is survived by her husband; Tom Archuleta, her son; Josh Archuleta. Brother; Kenny (Sandra) Lobato, Elmer Lobato, and her three Sisters; Delores (Ray) Muniz, Patricia Wilkenson, and Cliseria Bruce. Preceeded in death by her parents, Brother; Leland Lobato & Brother-in-law; Ray Muniz. Funeral Services will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The viewing will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6-8 P.M., with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. and Funeral Mass Friday at 11:00 A.M. The interment will be held at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S Redwood Road following the funeral service.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the Utah Cancer Institute and St. Marks Hospital for taking care of Juanita during her battle against breast cancer.
