Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend was guided home to his Heavenly Father where he was greeted by his daughter, Lisa, after a courageous battle with cancer at age 63.
Born January 27th, 1955 in Leon GTO, Mexico to Salvador and Annita Lopez. He moved to the United States at age 7 and the family settled in Midvale, Utah in 1965. Juan attended Midvale schools and graduated from Hillcrest High.
He married the love of his life, Tina, on November 22, 1975. They had three amazing daughters and raised two wonderful granddaughters. Juan enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, playing cards, and watching his grandchildren excel in all their sports and activities. He loved life and his shots of tequila! Most importantly, he loved spending time with his HUGE family.
He began working at the Midvale Safeway, then IGA and finally ending his career with Smith’s after several years where he had numerous friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter Lisa, father Salvador, brother Ramón, and niece Tiffany. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Tina, mother Annita, children Rayna, Christina Jex (Jeremy), grandchildren Mariah, Lacey (Carston), Chase, Destiny, Jasmine, Dayton, and Dominique. He is also survived by his siblings Arturo (Margret), Josie Leyba (George), Raquel Gallegos (Andy), Chava (Sean), Catalina, Luis (Becky),Victor (Lana), Patricia Raygoza (Joe), Mary Lopez (James) along with many nieces and nephews and extended family. Although he left us too soon, we selfishly wish he was still here with us, his huge heart, constant pranks and positive outlook on life will be in our hearts forever. We love you, Juan.
