Joyce Ruth Emerson Raymer

Joyce Ruth Emerson Raymer passed away on January 5, 2025 in her Cottonwood Heights home.

Joyce was born on May 29, 1937 in Utica, New York to Ruth (Bauer) and Joseph Emerson. Joyce married the love of her life John (Jack) Robert Raymer on January 18, 1958. 

Joyce enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her husband and family in Las Vegas. She devoted her life to her family and was the center of their universe. Joyce loved music and live performances of all kinds. She listened to music from every decade and genre and her favorite band was Journey. Joyce was an avid Beanie Baby collector, recently giving them to trick or treaters on Halloween. She had the most popular house on the block. 

She is survived by her children, Kym (Dudley) Hunsaker, Suzanne (Scott) Seiter, John (Mari) Raymer, Kristen (Bryan) Stiefvater, her eight treasured grandchildren, her 12 precious great-grandchildren, her sister Janice Ciszek, and Joseph (Nancy) Emerson.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her dear husband Jack, her parents Joseph and Ruth Emerson, and her infant son Kurt. 

A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. James Episcopal Church, 7486 Union Park Ave, Midvale, Utah. There will be viewing 30 minutes prior to the service.
