Joyce lone Lowry
Joyce was born to Bryan and Elva Farley in Bingham Canyon, Utah on January 11, 1937. She was the sixth of eight children. She is survived by a brother and two sisters. She was preceded in death by both parents and three brothers and one sister.
Joyce married Roger J. ‘Pete’ Lowry and was married for forty-five years until the passing of her husband in 2000. She was the Mother of three daughters and one son. Her eldest daughter Cindy died at birth and Joyce is survived by her son Rodney Lowry (Gaby), daughter Linda Lowry Bodell and daughter Jan Warburton (Troy). She had nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren perform and she attended many performances in support of them. Joyce worked most of her life and was employed by Grand Central as a store clerk and secretary at the General Offices as well as a secretary for the Granite School District and for the Third Judicial District Juvenile Court. She met many friends there and loved all of her jobs. She found great satisfaction in a job well done.
Joyce suffered the last few years with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She was able to live on her own for a time with the assistance of family and her neighbors. For the last ten months she lived with her daughter Jan and son-in-law Troy and was cared for by them and their son and daughter. A tremendous amount of gratitude is extended to all members of her family, friends and neighbors for their care and concern for her, but especially to Jan and Troy who provided for most of her needs.Service Information
