Joyce Hart Taylor

Joyce Hart Taylor, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2017 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on November 25, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Cecil E. Hart and Vera Christina Pfost. She married B. Kent Taylor on March 15, 1957 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Mom was an accomplished educator and school teacher at Skyline High School for 23 years. She taught English and literature and had a passion for the written word. In her free time we would often find her curled up on the couch reading the #1 best seller. She was a world class traveler, spending many summers abroad. Most of all mom loved being with family, making memories that will now last a life time for her children and grandchildren.  She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many callings.
She is survived by her husband, B. Kent Taylor; Daughter, Cecy (Taylor) Burtenshaw; Son-in-law, Kevin R. Burtenshaw; Son, Michael Kent Taylor; Daughter-in-law, Leslie Taylor; Son, Kirk Charles Taylor; Daughter-in-law, Natalie Taylor; Ten grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Vera Hart.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017. The viewing begins at 1:00 PM with the funeral service starting at 2:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.  Interment will be on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, Rigby, Idaho.
