Joyce Ann Pierce, age 68, lost her long battle with kidney failure on July 27, 2018. Born on July 4, 1950 to Austin and Dorothy Walpole of Granville, Ohio, she was the youngest of three children. Joyce had a great love for the church and her family. She grew up in Granville, Ohio and moved to the Salt Lake City area in 1988 when she married Gary Pierce. She worked at Edwards Lifesciences and Sorenson Bioscience, Inc. for 25 years.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Stacy (David) Gilbert, two grandchildren (Alexis and Kyler) and her brother Phil (Carol) Walpole. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary (Don) Pierce, her brother Richard Walpole and her parents Austin O. and Dorothy M.(Brown) Walpole.
She was very loved and will be missed dearly. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Liberty Dialysis Wasatch and Rocky Mountain Care- Cottage on Vine. Thank you for taking special care of Joyce. Her final resting place will be at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place in her honor with family at a later date.
