Joy M Tilley

Joy M Tilley, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2021 in her home in South Jordan, Utah. Joy was born January 13, 1941 to Ogle Martin and Tennie Armstrong in Etowah, Tennessee.
Joy met and fell in love with Samuel Tilley. They married on December 1, 1956. They were married for 64 years. They had three children, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Joy will be remembered for her love of shopping. Even if she didn’t really need a new shirt or a new outfit she just loved finding new things. Her family was the most important to her. She would do anything for her family and loved to spend her time with them above all other things in her life.
Joy is survived by her husband Sam Tilley, her son Tim Tilley, daughter in law’s, Deborah and Lori Tilley and Cheryl Hewes, granddaughter Samantha Tilley, grandsons: David Tilley and Evan Tilley, great grandchildren Shealynn Olson, Isabella Tilley, Phoenix and Falcon Mesa, her three sisters: Judy, Maxine, and Hilda, and a special mention Angie Tilley and Fred Newman.
She is preceded in death by her son Jody Tilley, son Jimmy Tilley, grandson TJ Tilley, her parents Ogle and Tennie Martin, and her brother James Martin.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021, 12 PM with a viewing beginning at 10 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
