Joseph “Larry” Lawrence Dazley

Our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 68 in West Jordan, Utah. Larry was born to Joseph Carl Dazley and Ruth Beverly Jensen on October 11, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Larry married the love of his life, Linda Lether Dazley on February 15, 1981, and are now reunited since her passing January 16, 2008. Larry attended Hillcrest High School and later in life he earned his GED. He retired from Utah Power & Light as a mechanic. Larry loved to create and build things, cooking, bow hunting, fishing, gardening, his grandchildren and he loved the holidays and spending time with his family. Prior to his death he lived and was cared for by his grandson Sean O’Dell who he held dear to his heart.
He is survived by his children Cherie Dazley Schoenfeld, Stacy (Norman) O’Dell, Destinee Dazley Baker, and Brandon Dazley. Grandchildren – Christopher (Chalise) Schoenfeld, Cody Schoenfeld, Austin Walker, Corinne (Matt) Wilkinson, Sean O’Dell (Natalie), Ashlee (Jason) Hansen, Sierra (Jonathan) Perez, Eli Baker (Brittany), Savannah Baker, Jasmine Dazley, and Tyler Slack. Great grandchildren – Carter, Camden, Laney, Silas, Remington, Gage, Ismael, Yahir, Mateo, Zoey, Favi. Siblings – Carol (Ed) Francom, Joanne (Dale) Smith, Pamela (Jonathan) Webb, Gary (Debbie) Dazley, Duff Dazley, Deron (Jeanette) Dazley, Candice Dazley, Wayne (Kelly) Dazley, Jonette (Tony) Boekweg, Bethinee (Luis) Borjorquez.
Preceded in death by wife Linda Lether Dazley, father Joseph Carl Dazley, mother Ruth Beverly Jensen Dazley and son Bart Slack.
Viewing will be held Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 5 – 7 pm at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at River 7th Ward, 7350 South 1300 West, West Jordan, also a viewing will be held prior to services at 10:00 am. Interment will follow services at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
