Jonathan Walden

Jon, age 41, passed away of natural causes in his home on Christmas Eve. He was the 6th of 11 children born to John Foster Walden and Janice Leavitt.
Jon was a happy, highly intelligent, physically active and somewhat shy child. He loved sports of all kinds, computers, food, listening to music and had an incredible memory.
As a young adolescent Jon began suffering from a debilitating mental illness that continued for the rest of his life. In spite of this he was able to graduate from high school, earn his Eagle Scout award and eventually receive his endowment in the Mount Timpanogos LDS temple.
Jon was known for his compassion, being slow to anger and generosity. He was faithful in every calling he held in his church. He loved and connected to children, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed!
Jon was preceded in death by his brother Samuel and his father John. He is survived by his mother and siblings Anne, Rosalie, Lynette, Michael, Jennifer, Sara, Teresa, Maria and William.
Funeral Services will be held Monday December 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Cedar Hills 1st Ward Chapel, 4350 West Cedar Hills Dr., Cedar Hills, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the PleasantGrove CityCemetery under the direction of Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, Sandy, UT.
