Jonathan Howard Robb was born on July 22, 1989 in Salt Lake City, UT to parents Jay Howard Robb and Julie Jarman Robb. He was lovingly known by his friends and family as Jonny Robb or Uncle Jonny. He had the biggest heart and nothing could trump his love for his mom and his respect for his dad. Jonny was larger than life and a master movie quoter who loved his family deeply. His friends describe him as someone who would “give you the shirt off his back.”

Jonathan grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico. His passions included basketball, golf, the Book of Mormon, music, and most recently, rock climbing. He was known for his spirited sense of humor, high energy, competitiveness, and infectious laugh. He was a charismatic person who could do anything he set his mind to. Jonny made friends wherever he went. He kept his friends for life. He is survived by his parents and six siblings.

Jonny passed away the morning of May 7th, 2020 in one of his favorite places near the mountains. He ended his battle with Manic Depression and Bipolar Disorder.

Even while struggling with mental health, he expressed love and concern for all of those around him, especially the downtrodden stranger. He was always quick to forgive. Jonny tried to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Despite his many courageous battles, he always gave credit to Heavenly Father for all of the good in his life.

In a talk entitled “Like a Broken Vessel “ Elder Jeffrey R. Holland taught “Though we may feel we are “like a broken vessel,” as the Psalmist says, we must remember, that vessel is in the hands of the divine potter.
Graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 13, 2020 at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
