Jonathan “Jon” Rodriguez was born on January 1, 1967 in Cumberland, Maryland. He passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2017 in Auburn, Washington.
Jon’s family moved to Sandy, Utah in 1973 where he was raised, schooled and lived for most of his life. As a child, he played sports and was involved in the Masonic order and scouting. He grew up with a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and playing golf. He was an avid sports fan, always cheering for the Utes and the Pittsburg Steelers. In 2011, he moved to Washington State, where he continued with his life and career.
Jon was a very social person and made friends with ease. Many of these friends became like family. As a veteran of the beer and beverage industry for over 20 years, being able to earn people’s trust came in handy. He cared deeply for his family and friends, always opening his life to those around him. He was wild, full of life, love, and humor. “Hey brother, how you doin’ today” was his signature hello. Always there to help a friend or a complete stranger when needed, he was known for his big heart and friendly smile. Everyone was his “brother” or “darlin’.” He lived life to the fullest and on his own terms. Always with a story or joke (often at his own expense), he was quick-witted, always giving people a reason to smile or laugh. He was the life of the party, and will be missed by so many.
Survived by: his mother Martha Rodriguez, two brothers Andrew Rodriguez and Matthew Rodriguez (Barbara) and his two beloved nephews Dominic and Tomas. Preceded in death by his father Eliseo “Al” Rodriguez.
