Our dear Sis. Johnnie Mae Wynne stepped from this life into her father’s arms on January 6, 2019. Johnnie Mae was born on October 19, year of our lord 1930 in Widner, Arkansas. She was a devoted wife to Deacon Lawrence C. Wynne, loving mother and an overall Proverbs 31 woman. As such, she was a faithful servant to God our Father in many capacities. She served her Father as a President of the Choir, Chair of the Deaconess board, a missionary with a heart of hospitality and many other ministries. She provided leadership in the IGBA (International General Baptist Association). She provided an ongoing example of the compassion and love of our savior, acting as a foster mother and adopting children into her heart and home. She was a passionate cook who loved to feed her family and friends. She served the community as a nurse in both public and private sectors.
Johnnie Mae was preceded in death by her dear husband Deacon Lawrence C. Wynne, brother C. Johnson, sister O. Thomas, and her daughter Dana Wynne-Phillips. She is survived by two grand-daughters JeVon Gibson of Denver, CO and Tori Phillips of Charlotte, NC, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.
