Johnathan Thomas Bacus, age 26, died on March 4, 2018, in Midvale, Utah. He was born on July 30, 1991, In Joplin, Missouri to Thomas Patrick Bacus and Gayla Charmayne Fowler.
John was a coffee connoisseur and drank it like it was water. He was obsessed with cars, especially Volkswagens. He wanted to be a Volkswagen promoter and had reached out to the Volkswagen Group of America to try and achieve that dream. He enjoyed driving the local canyons, exploring new places, and working on cars with his brother. He had a fetish for interesting and unique watches; Invicta and Sottomarino Pro Diver watches were some of his favorites. Jon enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto, Minecraft and creating his dream home on Sketch Up. John wanted to be a welder and build high security vehicles and buildings. He loved animals, especially dogs. He would often chase down stray dogs and return them to their families. John was always wearing a NYC ball cap. He was quick to lend a hand and always willing to help those in need.
John is survived by his fiancée, Ashley Rosado; brother, Quincy; parents, Tom and Gayla; many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends, and extended family members who loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A gathering for family and friends will be held 30 minutes prior to services.Service Information
