John Wesley Warner

July 31, 1943 — June 24, 2019

John Wesley Warner, 75, passed away in the early hours of the morning on Monday, June 24, 2019 at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was surrounded by family and close friends.
Wes, as his family and friends knew him, was born on July 31, 1943 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Spencer and Nelda Warner, the second of twelve children. He married Mary Louise Thur on November 10, 1964, born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, in Salt Lake City. They spent their married life together in Salt Lake, raising four children. Wes was devoted to his family but most of all to his wife Louise, the love of his life. They were best friends and went everywhere together as much as possible. Wes’s job doing government contracts with L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, and Unisys took him all over the world, but what he loved most was travelling with his family throughout the United  States and Canada. He was very supportive of his children’s dreams and ambitions and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Wes is survived by his wife, Louise; his daughter, Helen Louise Cawley, and her children, Nora Tudor, Liam, Deirdre, and Una Cawley, and grandchildren Charlotte Tudor and Helen Gorman-Cawley; his son John Wendel Warner and spouse Rand Williams; his son Kenneth Alan Warner and spouse Kathleen, and his children Kade and Kandace Warner; and his daughter Cynthia Clark and spouse Pat Newkam.
A simple graveside service for close family and friends will be celebrated to honor the life of Wes on 28 June 2019 at 10:30 am at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, with an on-site informal reception to follow.
