Our charming, charismatic, and all around amazing father, grandpa, husband, brother, and friend is now at peace. John Jastremsky passed away after a long struggle with illness with family by his side on January 18, 2017, in Salt Lake City, UT. John was born on September 22, 1949 in Fresno California to Bill and Opal Jastremsky. He grew up in Fresno and graduated from Roosevelt High School, class of 1967. He met his wife, Debbie, while working together at The Crest Movie Theater, and they married on September 21st, 1972. He was a skilled manager and mentor to many and worked over the years at Meldisco Shoes, Ninewest, Incredible Pets, Winder Dairy, and Megaplex Theaters.
John loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a huge heart when it came to animals, and was always willing to bring a new one into the home. He enjoyed traveling, attending concerts and festivals, and exploring new restaurants. He had a passion for music, movies, and sports, and loved to watch a Colts game with his dog, Molly, and cat, Safari, curled up on his lap, while sipping an ice cold pepsi.
John is survived by his wife, Debbie, daughters, Christi (Tony) Christian, Lisa Jastremsky (Jordan Ruiz), Jennifer Jastremsky, grandchildren, Taylor, Erika and Anthony Christian, sister, Jeanette Smith, and many extended family and friends. He loved his many fur babies and grand fur babies, Molly, Safari, Chloe, Roach, Daisy, and Jethro.
