John James Trane born December 8, 1920 on the family farm in West Jordan, Utah to Byron John (James) Trane and Esther Mabel Evans. John loved the farm and worked hard farming all of his life. He participated in various sports in school, graduating from Jordan High School. He worked at an arms manufacturing company in the state of Washington. Later he worked for Mountain Fuel/Questar Gas for 34 years as a night dispatcher (known as the happiest guy at the gas company). John worked hard to provide opportunities for his family’s individual interests. He loved the arts: music, dance, skating, fine arts, etc. John enjoyed association with many good friends, neighbors and acquaintances throughout his life. He passed away on May 9, 2014 at Comfort Cottage in Washington, Utah of congestive heart failure. John is survived by daughters, Mary Donna Trane Johnson (Dorian), Rose Mary Trane Webb (Harold), Ann RoseTrane Salviazul; son, Don James Trane (Tamara Morris Trane); 26 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by wives, Margaret Joosten Robins, Donna Mae Adams Trane, Evelyn Manjerich Trane; daughter, Mary Trane ; sons, James Clark Trane, Jack James Trane, granddaughter, Jamie Trane. A viewing will be held Tue. May 13, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm at the same location.
