January 5, 1944 — October 30, 2016

John Nebeker Hutchings, 72, passed away Oct 30, 2016 at his daughter’s home, in Lake Forest, California from cancer.
Born Jan 5, 1944 in Salt Lake City, UT to Eugene Frank Hutchings and Anna Althea Nebeker.

Married Patricia Woodland, later divorced. Together they created a very successful Insurance agency. After placing the agency in his son’s hands, John decided to check off his bucket lists.  His life became travel. He traveled to all corners of the earth visiting places that most of us would only dream of.  If he wasn’t on a trip he had one planned and only waiting for the tour to start. John had a mischievous smile and a great since of humor; he always tried to make you smile. He had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved his family and they loved him.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers, Eugene (Bud){Dorothy}and Robert (Bob). John is survived by his stepchildren Bambi, Kandi {Bill}, Bryan {Susan},  brothers George {Myrna}, and James (Jim) {Penny}and sister Darlene {Gary}, numerous nieces and nephews. Although John’s children were stepchildren he raised and supported them and accepted them as his. He loved them and they love him. John’s nieces and nephews love to see the pictures that he posted of his many trips.
