John James O’Neill

John James O’Neill, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2018 in Layton, Utah. John was born July 6, 1943 in Park City, Utah to Cornelius Joseph O’Neill Jr and Wanda Burbidge. John married Geraldine Monson, they later divorced. Together they had one beautiful daughter, Stephanie O’Neill.
John worked as a computer analyst at Hill Air Force Base for 20 plus years.
John enjoyed being outdoors fishing with family and friends. He learned the trade of welding and loved it. He also enjoyed wood working and was a collector of many tchotchkes.
John is survived by his daughter Stephanie O’Neill (Renee’) , of Riverton, sister Kathi (Butch) Lepore of West Jordan, nieces Julie (Tony) Lepore, Angie (Rob) Lepore, Chris (Andy) McIntyre, his grandnephews Aaron (Alixe) Martinez, Dom Lepore, Ian McIntyre, grandnieces Katherine Martinez and Cini McIntyre.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Noon, with a viewing beginning at 10 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity in John’s honor. John loved to donate to all of those in need around him.
