John “Jack” Lombardi

Jack, age 93, died September 14, 2016 from natural causes.  He was born May 22, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John J. and Josephine Sperry Lombardi.  Graduated from Granite High, Class of 1941.  Served in the US Marine Corp in the South Pacific during WWII.  Married, Ruth E. Nystrom, June 25, 1948 in Elko, Nevada.  Retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 43 years of service.  He enjoyed all sports and fishing.
Survived by his son and best friend, John L. Lombardi of West Jordan, UT, and several cousins, nieces and a nephew.  Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth.
