John Erickson

d. October 12, 2022

John was raised in Elmhurst, Illinois with two sisters where he excelled in creative and artistic projects and renegade endeavors. Upon completion of high school, John attended BYU before serving in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was an outstanding helicopter pilot who saved many lives. Returning home, it was requested of him to continue flying in the Salt Lake Valley but he declined saying it was too dull and boring; no one was shooting at him. He re-enrolled at BYU where he continued to test the patience of BYU and Provo municipalities.
John used his many unique talents in the field of architecture where he designed amazing commercial and residential buildings. He received National recognition for his veterinarian hospital designs.
John loved to ride his Harleys and canoe in the remote wilderness of northern Minnesota near his cabin. He was an entertainingly brilliant and artistic individual who left us way to early. He loved life and was loved by all. He will be missed immensely.
John is survived by his cats and numerous family and friends.
A heartfelt thanks to the beautiful staff at the Auberge for their compassionate care and love for John and massive gratitude for John’s good friend, Juan. Thank You All.
John, enjoy your ride. We all love you dearly!
