Joe A. French, age 87, died on May 19, 2015, in Holladay, UT. He was born on April 13, 1928, in Cortez, CO to Ross Theodore French and Cathern Susian Imel. He married Leatha Bernice Huff on November 17, 1948.
His career as a heavy duty construction mechanic included repairs, maintenance, design, and production of equipment. He worked for Jelco and Tri-O Inc.
The most cherished times were spent on annual trips to Alaska to fish for salmon.
Dad was a World War II veteran who served in the South Pacific as a Naval Corpsman.
Joe is survived by his children, Darrell G. French (Helen), Diane R. French, Doreen B. Kennedy (Steve), and Debra Jo Bills (Ivan). Two brothers and one sister: Archie French, Doris Boyd, and Richard French.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Bernice, his Parents, brothers; Luther R French, Norman French, Donald French, and sister Jackie Deboard.
Funeral Services will be held on May 23, 2015 at 11:00am with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30-10:45am at Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, UT. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 E Bengal Blvd., on May 27, 2015 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canyon Home Care and Hospice or a Charity of your choice.
