Jo-an Dearing Eames, age 80, passed away on October 14, 2020 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on September 11, 1940 in Provo, Utah to Viola Helen Harris and Roy Dearing. She married Jack Richard Eames on September 29, 1962.
Her hobbies included traveling, quilting, sewing, genealogy, Temple work, scouts, golf, swimming, hiking skiing, camping, service to others and volunteering at the schools.
Jo-an was a sky diver and extensive world traveler. She also helped over 20 youth gain their Eagle Scout merit badges. She studied at BYU, raised 3 children, cared for 5 grandchildren, including a special needs granddaughter, and always had enough money saved to help others.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Hicks, her children; Jacquelyn Kunz, Jennifer Mapa and Joseph Eames, and her 5 grandchildren.
Jo-an is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Eames, and her second husband, Keith Pace, her sisters; Jean Bird and Denise Yazzie, her brother, Roy Buddy Dearing, son, Roy Edwin Eames, and her dog, Poopsie.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on November 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM but is limited in seating due to the Corona virus. However, it will be streamed live at 11:00 AM.
Graveside service open to everyone at 3:00 PM at the Redwood memorial cemetery on November 7, 2020 at 3:00 PM
