Jimmy Larry Glaubensklee

Jimmy Larry Glaubensklee, age 73, born April 1st 1942 to Kelly E. and Marjorie E. Baker in Pueblo, Colorado. Jim passed away peacefully at his son’s home in Sandy, Utah surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Kelly and Nina Glaubensklee, Marjorie and Barney Goodwin and by his son Phillip Todd Glaubensklee. Jim is survived by his four sisters: Marilyn Glaubensklee, Carolyn Glaubensklee (Robert Smith), Tina (Lou) Colby, Jill (DJ) Jensen. Two brothers: Warren (Ramona) Goodwin, and Dean Goodwin. Dad married Marlene Hall, later divorced, together they had four children: Carrie Nielsen, Eric Glaubensklee (DeAnn), James (Katie) Glaubensklee, William (Amy) Glaubensklee. He was an amazing grandfather to 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, a legacy to be proud of. Dad attended Cyprus High School and proudly served in the United States Navy, commissioning the USS Kitty Hawk. He later went to work for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad which eventually became the Union Pacific Railroad. Dad spent 42 years on the job as a crew dispatcher in Salt Lake City, Utah; Denver, Colorado; and Omaha, Nebraska. Dad also briefly served as a reserved deputy with the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s department. Our dad was an artist, with paintings and carvings that are full of the things he enjoyed. He loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, and he loved old cars. His pride and joy was his 1931 Pontiac. Dad loved spending time with his grandkids; they were his joy in life. Dad could make friends anywhere and he did, as he had many. We will love him and miss his presence always. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 24th 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church 8950 South 400 East, Sandy, Utah.
