Jimmy Don Smith

Jim (Jimmy) Don Smith, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away July 3, 2016.  He was born December 16, 1944 to Emory Joseph and Ora Williams Smith.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.  He married Katherine Ann Hooper on December 5, 1995; later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple.  Jim enjoyed horses, camping, M&Ms and antique cars.   He retired from Western and Delta Airlines after 35 years of service.
Jim is survived by his wife; daughter, Michelle (Tyler) Perry; step-children, Mark (Rebecca) Snow, Gina Williamson, Gary (Pam) Snow, Jerron (Mindy) Snow; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Joe “EJ” (Gay) Smith, Bob Smith; sister, Virginia (Owen) Lambert and many extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9th, 11:00 a.m. with a gathering one hour prior to services at the Mt. Jordan 4th Ward, 235 E. 9800 So. Sandy.
