Jim A Rizzuto, age 76, died on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017. He died after a struggle with bladder cancer. He was born Oct. 29, 1940 in Price, Utah to Jim and Edna (Burgener) Rizzuto. He grew up in Carbon County and loved hunting, fishing and camping in the Manti LaSal mountains with his family and friends. He graduated from Carbon High School then moved to Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah. He worked at Unisys as a product engineer and Bard Access Systems as a quality inspector for medical products. He was highly respected by those he worked with.
He married Trissa Anderson in March 1970, later divorced in 1985. He was a devoted and loving husband and married Barbara Demke Johnson on April 24, 1999.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and his four children; James (Jessica) Rizzuto, Jacob (Leigh) Rizzuto, Rachel Staveley (Matt Ellis), and Katie (Clifton) Nicholson. Also survived by his sister; Margaret (Frank) Marrelli of Helper, Utah.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Jim and Edna, in-laws; William “Monte”, “Papa Candy” and Beverly Joyce Anderson.
Jim was a devoted “Pops” to his children who were the light of his life and loved spending time with his family either hunting, camping, dying Easter eggs, or having pool/pizza parties. He was a devoted member of the LDS church and he loved the Lord.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary at 2:00PM with a viewing held at 1:00PM. Interment will be at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery following services located at 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.Service Information
