Jim George Kavoukas

Jim Kavoukas died December 23rd 2018 in his Salt Lake City home. He was born August 1st 1962 to George and Eloise Kavoukas. In 1988 he married Judy Evans. They later divorced. In 2005 he married Annette Vernon but they too would separate some years later.
Jim was a mechanic by trade but also loved working on and restoring his beloved Camaro during his leisure time. He never hesitated to offer his help and expertise when it came to fixing cars. He had a passion for music. He played the drums in several local rock bands throughout his lifetime and formed life-long friendships with many through music. Jim was a fun loving, magnetic personality. He was strong, independent, stubborn, genuine, impatient, and loyal. A simple paragraph cannot describe all the things that Jim meant to each one of us. He was a special man that will be eternally missed.
He is survived by his father George Kavoukas, his son Jesse Kavoukas (Tasha), his daughters Jamie Rosas (Oswaldo) and Jennifer Holladay (Donald) as well as 11 grandchildren, 3 brothers Billy (Beth), Mike (Gio), George, 3 sisters Joan, Kathy (Mike) and Theodora (Josh), nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eloise Kavoukas and brother Dino Petrogeorge.
A viewing will be held at Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 S 900 E on Wednesday January 2nd, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm followed by funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery 1342 E 500 S.
