Jill James Varoz

Jill James Varoz, age 77, died on January 26, 2018, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on August 19, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rhea Allred James and Dana James. Jill graduated from South High School and was subsequently employed as a senior secretary. She married G. Ross Varoz on December 20, 1962. Following their marriage they resided in San Francisco. After several years they returned to Utah. Jill was active in the Junior League of Utah. As a member of the Cottonwood Country Club she actively participated in the Club’s special events, and enjoyed playing bridge and tennis with her special friends.
Jill is survived by her husband of 55 years; her sister, Wendy (Fay); and her beloved children: Brad (Wei), Wendy (Robert) and Brock (Steph); her cherished granddaughter, Gabby; as well as her precious little dog, Jack. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rhea Allred James and Dana James.
The family is grateful for the Sunrise Assisted Living and Solstice Hospice staff for their help in caring for Jill in her last few days.
A  celebration of her life will be held for family and her dear friends at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Utah. Condolences at www.MemorialUtah.com.
