Jessie Mugleston

May 28, 1935 — December 28, 2017

Our beloved mother, sister, grandma, great grandma, cousin, aunt and friend Jessie Margaret Mugleston passed away December 28, 2017 in Lehi, UT.  She was born May 28, 1935 in San Diego, California to Robert Earl Caperon and Thelma Margaret Rogers.  She had two brothers, Dr. John Caperon and Bobby Caperon, who she loved very much and always spoke of fondly.
Jessie graduated from South High School in 1954, where she was a cheerleader.  Just weeks after graduation she married the love of her life, Robert Kenneth Mugleston “Muggs”, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1954.  Jessie adored her Muggs and throughout their life together she was his constant cheerleader.  Whether he was playing baseball, running electrical or making stained glass she was always by his side cheering him on.
Jessie and Muggs were blessed with six wonderful and talented children that filled their life with much joy and happiness.  Robert Kenneth II, Desiree, Blaine, Troy, Lance, and Brad.
With her husband and children, she traveled the United States and the World performing as the “Mugleston Family Band” and later as “The Muggs”.  She found great pride in watching her children perform and the joy that their talents brought to all those that had the opportunity to see them and hear their music.  Through their music they left a spiritual message of love.
Jessie had many passions and hobbies.  She shared her love of antiques with Muggs and they filled their home with the many treasures they found.
Jessie devoted her life to being a mother and teacher to all.    She loved every person she came in contact with and soon after they would feel that love for her too.  She used her many talents to touch the lives of those around her.  Through her tap dancing she brought a smile to faces, through her art she was able to bring life to old pieces of furniture, wood or whatever else was lying around, and her sewing took old clothes and turned them into new quilts.  For Jessie there was never a task too big or a lesson too small.  She was always a hard worker and taught her children to enjoy working.  She cherished her family and many dear friends.
Jessie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Muggs enjoyed serving as Missionaries for the Church in the Inner City for several years.  Genealogy work and going to the temple often was always important to Jessie.
Jessie is survived by her children: Bob (Denise) Mugleston, Desiree M Jaramillo, Blaine Mugleston, Troy (Ron) Mugleston, Lance (Kristina) Mugleston, Brad (Karen) Mugleston, Jana Lehnen and Kama Wells, sister-in-law Sandra (Sandy) Mugleston Meadows, and many beloved relatives and friends. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Muggs” Mugleston, her parents Robert Earl Caperon and Thelma Margaret Rogers, brothers Dr. John and Bobby Caperon, oldest grandson Bobby, grandson Chase, son-in-law Richard Jaramillo, mother-in-law Alice V.
