Jerome “Jerry” Mancebo

August 7, 1925 — April 19, 2014

Jerry, 88, passed quietly into heaven April 19, 2014 in Sandy, Utah.
He was born August 7, 1927 in San Franciso, California, to John Souza Mancebo and Mary Lucile Victorino. He married Kay Mancebo on May 6, 1980. After serving in the US Navy as a battleship navigator, he became an accomplished pilot. He was also an avid shooter (his pet rifle was his 220 Swift), played golf, and was a fantastic storyteller. A true man among men, Jerry was loyal and fulfilled his obligations with pride. He fought a valiant battle till the end before going home to Jesus.
Jerry is survived by his wife Kay, sister Margaret M. Flores, sisters-in-law Shirley Mancebo and Maurine Clark, children Wanda Ren’ee Goss, Richard Keith Mancebo, Rhonda Georgeann Mancebo, John Richardson, David (Ann) Richardson, Holli (Charles) Thompson, Megan Pumpkin Doodle (Lance) Seegmiller, 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Bill, son Jeff Richardson and grandson Nicholas Richardson.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary (3115 E 7800 S) on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 3:00 PM with a viewing one hour prior.
