Jerilyn (“Jeri”) Johns passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on Sunday, June 12, 2022, after courageously battling multiple cancers for several years. She was born to David and Rosalie Nelson Jackman on July 29, 1958, in Richfield, Utah.
Jeri’s tenacity for survival was tremendous. Her desire to persevere and continue on through life despite the many challenges and heartbreaks over the past several years, was inspiring and beautifully courageous.
She was deeply compassionate, sympathetic, tolerant, and patient with the people in her life. She had an abundance of kindness, and was always a loving and protective mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Jeri’s sense of humor was delightful, mischievous, and infectious; it was a true joy to hear the laughter bubbling up from inside her. Family, purple, perfume, and her pets always lifted her spirits and brought her happiness throughout her life.
Jeri will be remembered with great love and deep affection by the myriad friends and family whose lives she touched. She is survived by her children, Ashlyn (Tyler) Rech, Liverpool, NY; Anthony Johns, Salt Lake City, UT; Mother Rosalie Jackman, Salt Lake City, UT; her sisters, Julie Jackman, Salt Lake City, UT; And Jana Jackman, Ogden, UT, ; her brother, Adam Sentoni, Jersey City, NJ; three grandchildren, Amaryllis, Logan, and Greyson Rech; and her father, David R (Linda) Jackman, Central Valley, UT. Preceded in death by her husband, Steven Lawrence Johns.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of St. Mark’s Hospital for their kindness and excellent care.
Services and viewings will follow this schedule an evening viewing on June 21st from 6pm to 8 pm. An additional viewing will also be held before the Graveside service on June 22nd 10am to 11am and be followed by Graveside service from 11am to 12pmService Information
