Jennifer Dorothy Lindgren Peterson, of Cottonwood Heights, Utah returned to her Heavenly Father on August 12, after a 20 year battle with breast cancer.
She was born in 1958 to Eugene and Dorothy Lindgren in Spokane, Washington. Jenny grew up in Edmonds, Washington and was very involved with music, ballet and her church throughout these years. She received one of the first ballet scholarships offered at Brigham Young University. She met and married Gail Peterson in 1977, in the Oakland LDS Temple. Her love of music and her faith continued throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband “Wally” Gail Peterson; son Aaron; daughters: Aubrey (Curtis) Williams; Melissa (Jarrod) Phillips; Elise (Andrew) Nokes and 5 grandchildren, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; mother, Dorothy Lindgren; brother Tom (Billie) Lindgren; sisters: Kim (Richard) Matthews and Heidi Hadley. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Lindgren; sister, Kathleen Leishman and brother, Bruce Lindgren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Cottonwood Heights Stake Center, 6890 South Whitmore Way, Cottonwood Heights, Utah with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:45 AM. Interment to follow services at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT.
