Jennifer Miranda Shutt

January 6, 1986 — August 31, 2018

Weary of reading obituaries noting someone’s courageous battle with cancer, Jen would want this to be a little bit more upbeat…so be it.
Jennifer Miranda Shutt was born on the 6th of January, 1986 in Salt Lake City. She departed for her next calling on the 31st of August, 2018. Jen was an active little rascal. She found pleasure doing crafts and making wreaths. Jen especially loved Christmas! She enjoyed reading, camping, four wheeling, and anything she could do with her family. Jen also enjoyed being a temple worker and the peace that brings.
Four years ago Jennifer met Christopher and a six month courtship ensued. When we first saw these two together we were cheering inside, these guys were made for each other and were married on the 29th of May, 2015. However, as great as this union was, the best thing these two did was bring little Harper into our lives. Jen was a loving mother and teacher and adored her family.
Our Jennifer loved her family and friends. She was an amazing judge of character, and had no time for phony people and didn’t suffer the fool. We just loved this about her. Maybe because of this Jen wisely chose to work with animals and enjoyed her job as a Veterinarian Tech. But now Jen has a new job, it has better hours, and you can eat whatever you want and not gain an ounce and its Christmas every day. Although keeping an eye on friends and family will be a part of this new calling, the bigger part and most time consuming will be helping Christopher and watching over Harper.
Jen is survived by her husband Christopher Shutt and daughter Harper Shutt, parents Roderick and Karen Hackworth, siblings Heather (Cory) Behunin, Brittany Hackworth, Christopher (Amanda) Hackworth. Along with many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandpa Crookston, uncle Stephen Crookston and grandma and grandpa Hackworth.

One last thing, we’d ask that you pray for those battling cancer, and their families. Pray for their doctors as they direct the fight against this enemy. Pray for the nurses who give of themselves everyday as they comfort and ease the suffering of those they are charged to care for. Please, pray for those involved in cancer research. Pray that they may be guided in their daily activities as they search for new and better treatments for this devastating disease.
