Jennifer Hulet

November 15, 1967 — May 29, 2015

Jennifer died in her husband’s arms on Friday, May 29th, 2015 after a brave battle with cancer.
Reflecting on a premonition before she became ill, Jennifer said, “As I look back on my life, I had a very good life. As I look back on my life, I had a lovely life. I enjoyed my life. I had lots of friends all the time, and people around me that shared love with me. I don’t regret a thing. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I had a lovely life.”
Jennifer was born in Salt Lake City on November 15, 1967 to Leah Robinson Smith and the late Reed Emery Smith. She was the youngest of 10 children. She graduated from Olympus High School and attended the University of Utah. She was married to Don W. Hulet in the Salt Lake Temple on September 3, 1993. She was the mother of three children, James, (who served an LDS mission in Washington, Tacoma) Jacob, (who is currently serving an LDS mission in Ohio, Cincinnati) and Ashlee (who is determined to serve a mission at age 19).
Jennifer was very gregarious and always quick to make new friends. She was a genius with names and faces and after a brief meeting she could remember almost anyone for years. She loved to entertain and often invited guests to her home. Jennifer was also very creative and loved her crafts, scrapbooks and web pages. She was active in her church and in the community. She was quick to attend or throw a party and loved to visit or stay in touch with everybody she could.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, her three children, her mother, and her three brothers, Gary Smith, Paul Smith, and Mike Smith, her six sisters, Margean Hammar, Carolyn Linford, Becky Smith, Kris Demik, Kathy Berlin, Allison Linford, and their families.
Jennifer was greeted beyond the veil by her family including, Church Patriarch and martyr Hyrum Smith, and the prophet Joseph F. Smith; her father and veteran of WWII Coach Reed Emery Smith, her nephew and hero of the Iraq War, Cpl. Matthew Reed Smith, her niece Maria Teller and most especially her “soul-mate” and “co-pilot” Max (her dog).
