Jennifer Ferguson

Jennifer Ferguson was born on July 9th, 1987, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kathleen Ferguson. She died on July 27th, 2014, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother Arlene McPhie.
Jennifer attended Long View Elementary, Oakwood Elementary, Bonneville Junior High and Cottonwood High School. She enjoyed high school and was on the swim team, sang in the choir, and performed in Fiddler on the Roof and Greece. Jennifer was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
One of the highlights of Jennifer’s life was a school trip to Paris, France. While in Paris, she fell in love with the city. Paris influenced the food she ate, her love for clothes and shoes, how she decorated her home, and even her Instagram name: “jenlovesparis”. Jennifer loved Disneyland and everything Disney related. She also loved Harry Potter and Twilight. We hope you meet your perfect Edward in Heaven, Jen!
Jennifer had a long list of favorite things. She loved music, movies, the Food Network, and her iPhone. She loved her cat Kalli and her dog Nikki. She loved “Oettli burgers” and banana cream pie. She loved boating, riding horses and going out to eat. She loved photos, both taking photos and posing for photos. She loved the color purple. She hated onions, but oh how she loved Christmas and her birthday!
Jennifer worked at Mother’s Helper Child Care. She loved all the children, especially the toddlers she so lovingly cared for. She affectionately called them, “my twos”. Jennifer adored all her coworkers, especially Miss Gae.
Jennifer loved to spend time with her Oettli family. We played games, laughed about life, toasted s’mores on the fire pit, and enjoyed good company at Sunday dinner. The Oettli and Summerhays families love you Jen and we will miss having you part of our lives!
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, at Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held half an hour prior to the service.
